Tuesday, June 1st, was the Columbus Metropolitan Club’s “FoundersFundraiser” event. Several members of the Fireproof staff attended the event, and as promised it was an outstanding evening. The Columbus Metropolitan Club (CMC) was founded in 1976 and their goal is to provide meaningful dialogue and an exchange of ideas to any and all residents in Central Ohio.
The Founders Fund supports CMC services including programming, civic engagement, accessibility and the preservation of community voices. These services benefit community organizations and conversations through hundreds of speaking engagements on a wide variety of topics from arts to economic development.
“During the event, we had the pleasure of meeting Bob Greene, author of Late Edition, A Love Story. It was a privilege to hear him speak about his mother, CMC Founder Phyllis Greene, his new book and the Columbus Citizens Journal,” said Susan Eichinger, President at Fireproof.
The “FoundersFundraiser” was a great way to honor the Columbus Metropolitan Club and its founders. I have always enjoyed reading Greene’s books. It was a great to have met him,” said Joe Dickman, Senior Consultant at Fireproof.
